HALIFAX – Investigators with the Nova Scotia SPCA have seized the frozen body of a dog from a Halifax neighbourhood.
The SPCA issued a statement Thursday saying the group received a call on Dec. 23 advising them that a female dog had apparently frozen to death in North Preston.

Chief investigator David Ross said a necropsy has determined the American Staffordshire terrier died due to exposure.
The group is reminding all pet owners of their responsibility to provide shelter for all pets.
