TORONTO – The gap of voter support in the Toronto mayoral race is widening in John Tory’s favour, according to a new poll.
A survey conducted by Forum Research on Wednesday shows Tory with 39 per cent support (same as on Oct. 6) compared to 33 per cent for Ford, a four percentage point drop from last week’s numbers.

Meanwhile, Olivia Chow remains in third place with 23 per cent support among voters.
“While John Tory is not increasing his vote share, neither is he losing share, which Doug seems to have done after two very strong weeks,” said said Forum Research President, Dr. Lorne Bozinoff in a media release.

“It may be that those strong weeks scared some support back to the Tory camp.”
The poll also suggests Ford’s approval rating remains steady at 40 per cent, Chow is at 46 per cent and Tory with 55 per cent.
The Forum Research poll was based on an interactive voice response telephone survey of 1241 randomly selected voters with a margin of error +/‐ 2.8%, 19 times out of 20.
