WATCH: Global’s Skyview-1 overhead as bomb disposal robot detonates suspicious package
WINNIPEG — Emergency crews responded to another suspicious item Wednesday just after 2:30 p.m.
The package was sitting outside on the corner of St. Anne’s Road and Bank Avenue. The bomb unit, police, fire and ambulances responded to the area and multiple homes and businesses in the area were evacuated.
The bomb disposal robot slowly approached the item and eventually detonated it using a water cannon at 4:40 p.m.

All lanes of traffic were closed for roughly two hours but all lanes were opened by just before 6 p.m. Shortly before 7:00 p.m. police tweeted that the suspicious item had been deemed safe.
Winnipeg Transit sent out a tweet saying which routes had been affected in the area just after 3:30 p.m.
