RCMP call off search for missing man at McGregor Lake

WATCH ABOVE: RCMP searched McGregor Lake Monday after a woman was found in the water Sunday. A Calgary man she was with continues to be missing. Global’s Sarah Offin reports.

RCMP have called off a search for a missing 37-year-old man on McGregor Lake. RCMP say there is simply no further area to search.

They have recovered the boat believed to be involved in the deadly boating incident near Vulcan.

A woman in her thirties was found dead near the shoreline of McGregor Lake near Vulcan, Alberta on Sunday afternoon.

Witnesses say she had been with the man on a speed boat earlier in the day.

McGregor Lake, Alberta.

RCMP say the 6.5 metre pleasure craft was found adrift and witnesses say there were dogs onboard.

Anyone who may have seen the two boaters is asked to contact the Vulcan RCMP Detachment at 403-485-2267.
