Cyclist struck and killed in collision with vehicle in Caledon

TORONTO — Provincial police say a cyclist was killed Tuesday morning after being struck by a car in Caledon.

Emergency crews responded to the collision just after  6 a.m. on Tuesday on Innis Lake Road between Castlederg Side Road and King Street.

Few details have been released but OPP said the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cyclist’s identity is not being released pending notification of next of kin.

Innis Lake Road between Castlederg Side Road and King Street remains closed while OPP traffic investigators are on scene.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
