SAINT-JÉRÔME – Jury selection begins Monday for the second trial of Guy Turcotte.
The former cardiologist is facing first-degree murder charges in connection with the deaths of his two children, Olivier and Anne-Sophie, in 2009.

Back in 2011, Turcotte was found “not criminally responsible” for their deaths and was sent to an institution for treatment.
In 2013, however, Quebec’s court of appeal overturned that verdict and ordered a new trial.

Turcotte has been out on bail as he awaits the trial.
