WINNIPEG —After 11 years as MP, Steven Fletcher will not be returning to Ottawa.
Fletcher lost to Liberal candidate Doug Eyolfson Monday night.
Eyolfson is an emergency room doctor and professor.
Fletcher was first elected in 2004, and was not expected to lose the Charleswood seat.
University of Manitoba political analyst Royce Koop called the result ‘surprising’.
