WINNIPEG – If you have a family member or friend living with dementia or Alzhemer’s disease, there is a conference starting Monday in Winnipeg that’s aiming to help you, help them.
Health care professionals are coming together at Canad Inns – Polo Park for Dementia Care 2016 to focus on quality care.

The conference aims to assist people living with dementia to learn about new trends and research by Dr. Barbara Klein from the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences in Germany.
Dr. Klein will review assisting technologies and how they can improve the quality of life of people with dementia.

More than 22,000 Manitobans have Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia.
According to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 43 per cent of Manitoba’s have a family member or friend with the disease.
The conference starts at 9:00 a.m. and runs until 4:30 p.m. from March 7 to 9.
