SASKATOON – Police seized a quantity of drugs and weapons, including fentanyl and a SKS rifle following a drug bust in Saskatoon. A 34-year-old man is now facing numerous charges after the Tuesday afternoon bust.
Members of the Saskatoon integrated drug enforcement street team spotted what they said appeared to be a drug transaction taking place in a vehicle at a business located at Avenue P South and 11th Street West. Two men were arrested.

Police say a search of a 43-year-old man turned up $230 and a mobile phone while the 34-year-old driver had a baggie of cocaine, a baggie of methamphetamine and over $1400 in his possession.

Officers then searched the vehicle and located 62.94 grams of methamphetamine, 7.4 grams of cocaine, 23 hydromorph-contin capsules, 28 fentanyl pills, seven bottles containing GHB, $340, a loaded handmade “zip-gun”, a digital scale and packaging.
A search was then carried out at a home on Churchill Drive. Police said they found a sawed-off .22 calibre rifle, pellet guns and a SKS rifle and ammunition that was easily accessible.
The 34-year-old man is facing 29 drug and weapon-related charges while the 43-year-old man is facing possession charges.
Both are expected to appear Wednesday in Saskatoon provincial court.
