Police have charged Daniel Moses Ballantyne with second-degree murder in the death of Melinda Gladys Charles in northern Saskatchewan.
Ballantyne, 44, is also charged with improperly interfering with human body.
Charles, who was from Stanley Lake, Sask., was reported missing to Deschambault Lake RCMP on March 23.

Her body was found on March 27 and her death was considered suspicious.
Mounties said Charles and Ballantyne were known to each other.
Ballantyne, who is from Deschambault Lake, is scheduled to appear Friday morning in La Ronge provincial court.
Deschambault Lake is approximately 450 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon.
