He and his 8-year-old had been walking down their apartment stairwell when a man stopped and asked them for the time.

Police said the man then began to yell and swear at the pair and chased them down to the basement level of that building.

The victims fled to the parking garage and called police.

No one was hurt.

The suspect is described as a 25-30 years, weighing approximately 250 pounds and 6″2′ in height.  He has wavy hair and blue eyes and at the time was wearing an orange shirt with a black stripe in the middle and tan coloured pants.
