BIG RIVER, Sask. – A body has been recovered from a lake on a Saskatchewan First Nation.
RCMP were called to the Big River First Nation just before noon on Canada Day after receiving a call a deceased man was floating on the lake.

Officers discovered the body 15 metres from the shoreline.
The victim, a 45-year-old man from the reserve, had been swimming in the lake prior to his death.

Police say his death is not considered suspicious and an autopsy is scheduled this week in Saskatoon.
His name has not been released.
Big River First Nation is approximately 200 kilometres north of Saskatoon.
