French President Francois Hollande is honouring 17 victims killed in Islamic extremist attacks on satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo.

With Russian bombing Syria, the French President told Vladimir Putin that the airstrikes must be confined to attacking IS militants, not rebels opposing the government.
