Courtney spent several years on the Edmonton television dial as a host and reporter- covering generational fires and floods, engaging prime ministers and premiers- before deciding he no longer wanted to wear a suit jacket.
The shift from television to radio was inspired by an interest in swapping out 15 second sound bites in exchange for meaningful, extended conversations about things that matter to Albertans. Whether it’s pop stars, politicians or every day people, he wants to scratch the curiosity itch and get the answers we’re all seeking.
When he’s not spewing hot air into a radio mic, Courtney can be found spending time with his wife and two children, playing retro video games, running or doing a deep Google search into the rock hits of the 1990s.
