A 59-year-old man died Monday after being hit by a vehicle while riding his bike in the city’s east end.
Emergency crews were called to Bayview Avenue at the Don Valley Parkway off-ramp, near the Evergreen Brick Works, at around 9:25 a.m. for reports of an injured cyclist.
Police said a 38-year-old man driving a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport was about to head northbound on Bayview from the Don Valley Parkway when the collision happened. The cyclist was already riding northbound on Bayview.

The cyclist fell and suffered serious injuries; he later died in hospital.
An investigation is underway.
