DESCHAMBAULT LAKE, Sask. – Four overdue ice fishermen were found by RCMP this past weekend in northern Saskatchewan.
Last Friday night, family members reported four men who went ice fishing in the Deschambault Lake area overdue.
Mounties searched throughout the night as temperatures plummeted into the minus 30’s along with a wind chill warning.

On Saturday morning, RCMP used snowmobiles and located all four men.
They were found 6.5 kilometres from their point of entry onto the ice.
The truck had become stuck due to snow and ice and the men stayed with the vehicle overnight.
No injuries were reported.
Deschambault Lake is approximately 375 km northeast of Saskatoon.
