MONTREAL – There are reports that one person in Quebec has died of complications related to the H1N1 virus.
Global News spoke with Sylvie Lamontagne, a spokesperson for the Agence de santé du Bas-Saint-Laurent, who could not immediately confirm the death. No other details were available.

This would be the first death related to the virus in Quebec this year.
On Tuesday, the agency confirmed that several dozen cases of H1N1 influenza had been reported in the region.
The news comes amidst reports of widespread outbreaks, with six deaths in Saskatchewan, two in Toronto, two in Nova and 10 in Alberta.
