An eight-year-old boy is dead after he was found in the water at Regina Beach, RCMP say.
Officers said they were called to the scene shortly before 4 p.m. on Friday after receiving a report of a “water-related emergency.”

A child was located at the scene and declared dead by paramedics, RCMP said.

The Saskatchewan Coroners Service has opened a sudden death investigation.
RCMP said the death is not criminal in nature.
