Canada’s Governor General is in Winnipeg on his first official visit to Manitoba.
David Johnston and his wife began their three-day tour of the province with a welcoming ceremony at the Manitoba Legislature Thursday, where he met with Lieutenant Governor Philip Lee. Johnston’s visit continued with a tour of the Red River floodway control structure. He’s also scheduled to visit the construction site at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and to meet with Mayor Sam Katz on Saturday.
