MONTREAL – Marcel Côté, a mayoral candidate in 2013, died early Sunday morning. He was 71.
“He was riding his bike in Joliette and he suffered a heart attack,” confirmed Christine Mitton, Côté’s communications director.
Côté led the Coalition Montreal in the November 2013 election, but came in fourth to Denis Coderre.

He was the founder of SECOR, a strategic management consulting firm and was previously political adviser to Quebec Premier Robert Bourassa and Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney.
