TORONTO- The patient with flu-like symptoms who was isolated earlier this week at a St. Catharines hospital has tested negative for Ebola, says a spokesperson for the Niagara Health System.
The patient was isolated in keeping with the province’s Ebola protocols after spending time in West Africa, an area where more than 2,000 deaths have been confirmed from the disease.

This is the second time in recent weeks an Ontario hospital has isolated a patient since the Ebola outbreak began. Brampton Civic Hospital isolated a patient with similar symptoms in August. That person also tested negative for the disease.
