CALGARY- With just hours remaining until PC party members cast their votes to determine the next leader, polls show a former MP is poised for victory.
The Leger poll found that Jim Prentice has a 22 per cent approval rating—double the numbers of Ric McIver at 12 per cent, and Thomas Lukaszuk at 10 per cent.

However, more than half of the 1,000 respondents say they either don’t know anything about the race to become premier, or don’t care.
Political analysts say little has changed since June.
“It’s the same gap,” says Duane Bratt. “Even if you combine the percentages for McIver and Lukaszuk, you still don’t reach Jim Prentice.”
