HALIFAX – The federal and Nova Scotia governments say they will spend up to $50 million to upgrade 130 kilometres of highway in the province.
Federal funding of up to $20 million will come from the New Building Canada Plan and will be spent over four years for 22 projects on 100-series highways.

Nova Scotia Transportation Minister Geoff MacLellan says the province will provide up to $30 million for the improvements.

MacLellan says work will begin at the start of next year’s paving season.
The work will see repaving, the installation of rumble strips, shoulder widening and guardrail improvements.
