TORONTO – Dramatic cell phone video shows Los Angeles airport police using a Taser to subdue a suspect who had breached security at the airport.
The video shows frightened passengers in the LAX airport terminal ducking behind chairs as officers Taser the man.
Bystanders posted videos to social media that captured the incident from multiple angles, including the sound of the weapon clicking as the Taser is deployed.
Officials with LAX told CBS the man refused to co-operate with Transportation Security Administration officials as he went through security lines.

“An airport police officer walked up to the man, and the man pushed the officer,” spokesperson Mary Grady told CBS. She said the man made another attempt to get around the officer before taking off towards Gate 66.
One of the witnesses who captured the beginning of the police pursuit through the airport was actor Verne Troyer, who played Mini-me in the Austin Powers series.

The video captured by Troyer shows police attempting to handcuff the suspect before he escapes and makes his way towards the departure gates. He later posted an image of himself to Twitter following the incident.
The man, who was unarmed, was taken to a hospital to be evaluated. He faces charges including trespassing and obstructing a peace officer, according to CBS.
