TORONTO – A Brazilian man serenaded surgeons at a hospital by playing The Beatles song “Yesterday” on guitar while having a tumour removed from his brain.
Anthony Kulkamp Dias, 33, was kept conscious during the recent procedure at the Our Lady of Conception hospital in Tubarão.

According to The Telegraph, the tumour was discovered after Dias started stuttering and began suffering memory loss and went to the doctor.

The patient played a total of six songs during the procedure, impressing the doctors.
Doctors said that by allowing Dias to play his guitar, it helped keep him awake during the surgery, allowing surgeons to better map his brain activity.
