Public warned after high-risk sex offender plans to move to Vancouver

Vancouver residents are being warned about a high-risk sex offender who has plans to move into their neighbourhood.

Twenty-five-year-old Jeffrey Goddard has convictions for online child-luring, sexual assault, and impersonating a peace officer.

He was also convicted just 10 months ago of a sexual assault in a Surrey jail. Police have not said exactly where Goddard plans to live.

Goddard is described as 5ft 9, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.

His release conditions include a curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. and a ban on speaking with anyone under the age of 18.

Goddard is also banned from going on the Internet or social media and can’t have any weapons.

Anyone who sees him violate these conditions is asked to call police.
