SASKATOON – Conservative MP Brad Trost is returning to Ottawa. Trost, who was first elected in 2004, took the new Saskatoon-University riding.
He was being challenged by the NDP’s Claire Card, Cynthia Block for the Liberals along with the Green Party’s Valerie Harvey and Eric Schalm for the Rhino’s.

This is a new seat created from urban areas in Saskatoon-Wanuskewin (which elected Conservative MP Maurice Vellacott by 27 per cent) and Saskatoon-Humboldt (which elected Conservative MP Brad Trost by 17.6 per cent).
The average income is $48,874, highest for not just the three Saskatoon ridings, but all of Saskatchewan. The median age of 34.7 is the second lowest in the province.
