WINNIPEG — After raising the PST by 1 per cent in 2013, the NDP touted Thursday it’s had a record construction season.
“We lived up to our commitment and quiet frankly you haven’t seen nothing yet,” said Transportation Minister Steve Ashton at a news conference.

Ashton says the province spent more than $1 billion on construction projects in 2015 alone.
When it comes to bridges and highways, the province spent more than a $1 billion in two years. Ashton says that’s a record.
The minister couldn’t confirm exactly how much has been spent this year until all the projects wrap up, but says there’ll be even more next year.
That list will be released Friday.
