REGINA – A detached garage in the northwest corner of Regina was significantly damaged after a fire Friday morning.
At 11:28 a.m. a dozen firefighters responded to a fully-involved fire at a garage in the 50 block of Rendek Crescent.
Layne Jackson, Regina Fire’s deputy chief, said the fire was out within 40 minutes and did not spread to any other structures. No injuries were reported.

“The owners were home at the time but they weren’t intimately involved with the fire,” Jackson said.
There were no cars in the garage at the time of the fire. Jackson said an estimate of the damage will be determined by an insurance company.
The cause is under investigation.
