There was a heavy police presence Tuesday morning at a farm in Leduc County, between Nisku and Beaumont, where a fire occurred on Monday.
Several RCMP vehicles, along with unmarked vans, were parked at the property along Highway 625. Police were seen searching the property and a ditch along the highway.
RCMP and Leduc County firefighters were called to an abandoned house 6:30 a.m. Monday.
The fire was put out, but officers said it is believed to be suspicious. Police said no one was injured and there weren’t any people inside the home.

Leduc RCMP is investigating and the Office of the Fire Commission will be on scene Wednesday.
