A group of skiers and snowboarders encountered an endangered big cat during a recent ski trip in Gulmarg, Kashmir in India.
The chance meeting was captured on a camera strapped to 42-year-old Owen Lansbury’s head.
The video shows Lansbury and his group skiing down a mountain and suddenly stopping after spotting some movement under the snow.

“Oh my God!” he yells as he calms down a fellow skier.
Without warning, the leopard leaps up and bounds towards their guide before running off into the woods.

According to National Geographic, snow leopards, mostly found in the mountains of Central Asia, can jump as far as 15 metres. The WWF estimates there are between 4,080 to 6,590 snow leopards in the world, with a quickly dropping population.
The wild footage has gone viral with over 350,000 views on Vimeo in just a few days.
