Black scores winner as the Broncos defeat the Blades 2-1

Graham Black scored the game winner 6:21 into the third period as the Swift Current Broncos edged the visiting Saskatoon Blades 2-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Levi Bews also scored for the Broncos (5-3-4), who won for the first time in three outings.

Lukas Sutter scored the lone goal for the Blades (5-8-0).

Eetu Laurikainen stopped 43-of-44 shots for his fifth win of the season as Andrey Makarov made 26 saves in a losing effort.

Sutter gave the Blades a short-lived advantage and their only lead of the game when he scored at 4:25 of the first period.

Swift Current tied the game 27 seconds later when Bews scored his fifth of the year.
