Reader’s Digest Magazine has named the trail as one of the 10 greatest hikes in Canada.
The magazine says manicured parks, wild groves, expansive lookouts and historical landmarks are ideal for urbanites looking for a brush with nature and the trail brings nature’s beauty to Saskatoon’s doorstep.
The Meewassin Valley Trail spans 60 km along the South Saskatchewan River.
