It’s that time of year where Santa Claus takes time from his busy work schedule to meet with young boys and girls to ask them what they want for Christmas and to ask if they’ve been naughty or nice. But not all children get the chance to see jolly old St. Nick in person.
In Aurora, Colo., some kids who were too sick to leave Children’s Hospital Colorado had Santa pay them a virtual visit instead.

It’s a chance for children to tell Santa, who is at home in the “North Pole,” what they have on their wish list.
“I asked for a big Lego set,” said Colton Orth to CBS affiliate, KCNC news, after he had a chance to talk to Santa.

Each child spoke with Santa one-on-one in hospital via video conference. Santa was seen giving one patient a virtual hug and another a virtual high five.
“We don’t get to do a whole lot of things, we’re kind of stuck in the room right now and it’s nice, real nice, when people come and interact with [Colton]. It makes him feel a lot better,” said Colton’s mom, Cathy.
Santa will be making virtual visits to 50 hospitals across the U.S.
