Longtime broadcaster Neil Macrae has died.
The former Vancouver sportscaster died last week in Palm Springs at the age of 65 from cancer.
Macrae, who had a 40-year career in radio, retired from sister station CKNW in 2013 but continued as a contributor with Rock 101’s Morning Show.

The sports radio legend rose to prominence as an on-air sparring partner of morning host Bryan ‘Frosty’ Forst in the 1980s and 1990s.
Macrae loved stirring the pot, saying once “if 50 per cent hate my guts and 50 per cent want to listen to me, it means they are all listening.”
