A Nova Scotia woman is facing charges after police allegedly found her impaired in a parked vehicle with two young children.
RCMP were called to a residence on Leslie Road in East Lawrencetown, N.S., at around 4 p.m. on Oct. 20.

Once there, officers arrested a 39-year-old woman and laid several charges including impaired operation of a motor vehicle and child abandonment.

RCMP say an 11-month-old baby and two-year-old child were located inside the vehicle parked at the residence.

Police say the woman’s breath samples were double the legal limit and that there was open alcohol found inside the vehicle.
The woman, whose name has not been released, is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Nov. 22 at 9:30 a.m.
