A retired Smithville couple have been revealed as the winners of a $23.3-million Lotto 6-49 jackpot.
Robert (Bob) and Sandra Donaldson picked up their cheque at Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation headquarters in Toronto on Wednesday.
The pair, who have been married for 36 years, said they plan to share their winnings with family as well as buy a new car — and a walk-in closet.
Bob, a former manager at Dofasco, was away in China when Sandra found out about the lottery win, and didn’t tell him until nearly a week later when he came home.

One lone ticket had the right combination of numbers to score the jackpot for the Jan. 27 Lotto 6-49 draw.
The winning ticket was bought at a Rexall in Smithville.
