UPDATED: Two-vehicle crash in Kelowna leaves Jeep on its roof

RCMP, ambulance and fire crews responded to a two-vehicle crash in Kelowna Wednesday night.

It happened just before 8 p.m. at the intersection of Harvey Avenue and Water Street.

Police said a grey Mazda CX-5 headed westbound on Harvey Avenue allegedly proceeded through a red light and struck a northbound white Jeep Wrangler.

The collision caused the Jeep Wrangler to roll onto its roof.

At the scene, firefighters appeared to be talking to someone inside the car.

Police said the 29-year-old female driver of the Jeep and the 64-year-old male driver of the Mazda were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
