Canadian Red Cross say they’re helping 28 people from four large families find a place to stay after a fire in Saint John’s Crescent Valley neighbourhood.
Crews responded shortly after 8:30 p.m., Tuesday. Flames were visible through the building’s roof and smoke filled the air.
One person was taken to hospital to be checked over, but has since been released.

Engine 8 from the Millidgeville Firehouse was first to arrive with a four-person crew, but the firefighter’s union says every on-duty firefighter in the city was called in to contain the blaze.
Two units were reportedly heavily damaged while two others sustained smoke and water damage.

The Red Cross says seven adults and 21 children make up the displaced families.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
