Man taken to hospital following shooting in northeast London, Ont.

London police are investigating after a man was transported to hospital with a gunshot wound Wednesday evening.

They released new information Thursday morning as they continue to probe the incident.

Police believe the shooting happened north of a park in the 400-block of Barker Street, near Melsandra Avenue, around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday.

According to police, officers received information that an 18-year-old man arrived at a hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.

No weapon has been recovered, and police say a suspect has not been identified at this time.
