One person was rescued from the unit of a downtown apartment building Sunday morning, officials with the London Fire Department said.
Emergency crews responded to the scene around 8:42 a.m. at 186 King Street, a multi-story residential building located between Richmond and Clarence streets, for a report of a structure fire in a unit.
One person was located in a fourth floor unit by fire crews. They were removed and assessed by paramedics at the scene, but weren’t transported to hospital, said Platoon Chief Kirk Loveland.

“Our inspectors are still investigating for origin, cause and circumstances around the fire. At this time there’s nothing (that has) been released regarding the details of it,” Loveland said on Monday.
No damage estimate was immediately available.
“There was damage to all the contents (inside the unit), but it was contained to that room,” Loveland said.
Few other details have been released about the blaze.
