Prime Minister Mark Carney says he believes Russia’s ejection from the G7 and G20 was for “very valid reasons” amid concerns about U.S. President Donald Trump welcoming Kremlin officials back to the international forum.
“It’s the host prerogative who to invite,” Carney told reporters in Thunder Bay, Ont., Thursday morning when asked about Russia’s finance minister attending the group’s meeting this week and about reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin could attend the meeting set for Miami later this year.

“Russia’s unprovoked attack (of Crimea) in 2014 was why they were ejected from the G7 and then the further attacks (on Ukraine) of almost five years ago now was why they were rejected from the G20. And Canada stands steadfastly with Ukraine.”
Carney said his message to Putin, should the Russian president attend the G20 leaders meeting in Miami this December, would be simple: “Get out of Ukraine.”

Hmmm, yeah, I guess the Budapest Memorandum was already breached by the U.S. with the 2014 Maidan coup in Ukraine. I can still remember that leaked call by Victoria Nuland, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian affairs: “….f *uck the EU…” I guess Russia was justified with the Crimea annexation. The NATO “defensive” organization was already expanding and encroaching on Russia and attempting to swallow Ukraine next.
The USSR (now Russia) broke the Budapest memorandum, which was an agreement for Ukraine to give up it’s nukes for security guarantees. The US, of course also broke it’s promise to Ukraine. Vanilla pudding Putin has his supporters in the comments though.

I had a look at the NATO membership maps and you can see over the decades just how badly they have been gradually expanding and surrounding Russia, despite literal promises not to do so. Then we have the U.S.-supported coup of the democratically elected Ukrainian president in February 2014, which frankly was the last straw. Leftists all over the globe like myself justify things like the October 7th massacre in Israel because of an alleged past filled with cumulative wrongs. Well, instead of being a hypocrite, i’ll therefore accept Russia’s actions in Ukraine and justified as well over NATO’s cumulative trasngressions and the U.S. backed coup.
