Jann Arden is set to join a cohort of Alberta performers for a free concert promoting national unity ahead of the province’s fall referendum on quitting Canada.
The Forever Canadian campaign says its “Calgary Concert for Unity” is to be held Sept. 20 at The Confluence Historic Site, also known as Fort Calgary.

The referendum on Oct. 19 is to ask Albertans, among other things, whether they wish to remain part of Canada or hold a second, binding vote on separating.
Those in favour of separation say Alberta doesn’t need Ottawa and is more than able to go it alone, while those opposed say Canada can work and that leaving could threaten Indigenous treaty rights.
Why do I need to listen to this goober?
Sigh… These celebs fly into Alberta to give us the current Canadian viewpoint.
“You there Albertan, get back to work, pay those taxes, and be quiet about it”.
Then they fly home and enjoy all those ‘programs’ of which the majority is funded by Alberta.
This along with a Federal government that really wants to shut down the petroleum industry and then replace it with green programs that will never really work.
Begone knave, adults at work here getting us out of this sad bankrupt socialist country once known as Canada.
Jann Arden has won 8 Juno Awards, and was awarded the Order Of Canada. Good for her to do this. Alberta isn’t going anywhere. Forever Canada!
No one cares Fred. Keep it moving.
I love (this is sarcasm for those who don’t understand) how people feel free to judge others. Especially when they call themselves Christians. She’s an amazing artist if we didn’t live so far away, I’d definitely go. And by the way I’m Canadian first and also a proud Albertan. So NO TO THE 9 and OPTION 1.
Gross
That’s enough to make me change my vote to separation. I couldn’t possibly side with someone like Jann on anything.
Im tired of these so-called celebrities telling us how we should vote or who we should support.
Jann who ?
A few purple-haired clowns nobody’s heard of, irrelevant.
Love you Jann
