General local elections were held for mayors and municipal councillors, regional district directors, school board trustees, park boards in Vancouver and Cultus Lake and the Islands Trust.
Each local government in B.C. manages its own voting stations and local governments provide information on when, where and how to vote.
Global BC had complete coverage of the municipal elections on TV, radio and online.
We were live on Global BC, BC1, Global Okanagan, CKNW and STACKTV for our Global News election special from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. PT.
The show was also livestreamed above and on the Global BC YouTube channel.
Good luck Surrey. You are about to find out that change isn’t always good.
Throw the incumbents out!
That’s the idea and now let’s finish the job by throwing out the NDP!
BC Cons 80 seats Green 10 NDP 3
Excuse me Global, but why do you even post this Election look up page for our BC Communities, if you don’t bother to even populate it?! What a waste of time GLOBAL! Sadly, you’re not a good source of information at all!

Thank God that midget Sims is out. Now he has more time too drink his Starbucks and workout.
I live on Vancouver Island and was very disappointed in the voting coverage. Nothing for the rest of us…only Vancouver. We are pare of BC too
So disappointing that your tv coverage results are limited to the coast only. Why not show the rest of BC. Disappointing for rural communities.
Either you, or Castanet, have the results switched for Cannan and Dyas
I think Global has the Kelowna results mixed up. Dyas has the lead on every other reporting website. Cannan is at a close 2nd. Even the Kelowna city website shows Dyas leading.
Castanet
Castaneda in Kelowna has numbers for mayor opposite Global.
several other news organizations have results for Summerland and there’s nothing here

CBC has Kelowna Mayors reversed to your results. Who is correct?
very disappointed that the bulk of the province doesn’t exist in this election!
Local elections don’t have ridings (that’s provincial and federal). Most municipalities use an at-large voting system with only Lake Country (that I know of) using a ward system.
Once again, the lamestream media shows how stupid and incompetent they are.
