TORONTO – A pet dog is dead after a man allegedly pulled out a gun at a public park and fired at the canine.
Sydney, an Australian Shepherd, was off its leash at Penstemon Park in Colorado Springs, Colorado before suffering a fatal wound. The dog’s owner was close by and saw it all happen.
“We were just playing ball in the park,” the owner – who doesn’t want to be identified – told KKTV.
That’s when a man appeared on a nearby sidewalk.
Instead of a friendly exchange between man and dog, the owner witnessed something horrific.
