GardenWorks: How to conserve water in the garden

With water restrictions in place across much of the B.C., Scott Pearce and Peter Fitzmaurice of GardenWorks offer some tips on how to conserve water while still keeping your plants healthy.

· Water globes (Aquaglobes)
· Water Hippo Tree watering bags
· Water Wikka (coco fibre watering pods)
· Plant Nanny with wine bottle

Mulching – with items like Mega Mulch – can also help. It is a good idea to put landscape fabric down first as it assists in slowing down evaporation and shades the roots.

Another tool that can help are water nozzles that shut off automatically.
