COLE HARBOUR, NS – A 16-year-old male has been arrested after he brought a replica gun into Auburn Drive High School in Cole Harbour on Tuesday afternoon.
At about 2:10 p.m. Tuesday police were called to the school after a report that a 16-year-old male was in the school and possibly had a gun, said Cpl. Greg Church.

A lock and secure order was placed on Auburn High and the nearby George Bissett Elementary School and Colonel John Stuart Elementary.
The hold and secure order was lifted shortly after and RCMP officers remained at the school to oversee the students’ dismissal.

RCMP tweeted shortly after 5:00 p.m. that they arrested the teen in question in Cole Harbour and found a replica gun on his person.
The teen remains in custody as the investigation is ongoing.
