PENTICTON – Penticton RCMP say a local man is facing charges after allegedly punching a senior in the head outside of the Cherry Lane Shopping Centre on Sunday afternoon.
Police say the victim was a 78-year-old man who didn’t know his attacker. The senior did not need medical assistance.
RCMP say when police arrived, they found a person brandishing broken scissors.

Police say they arrested a man who was taken to the hospital for an assessment.
Danny Ross is facing charges in connection with the incident including assault and obstructing a peace officer.
