A 63-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a taxi in Scarborough overnight.
The incident happened just before 1 a.m. on Lawrence Avenue just west of McCowan Road.

Police say the victim was crossing in the middle of the street when the male was struck by a 2012 Nissan Altima driven by a 66-year-old male taxi driver.
He was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition where he later succumbed to his injuries.
There’s no word yet if the driver will face any charges.
