The death of a 31-year-old man found in a northwest Edmonton apartment building is the city’s 30th homicide of 2016.
Police were called to reports of a sudden death near 111 Avenue and 132 Street in the Westmount area, just after midnight on Thursday, August 4.

The body of Mahamat Adam Hosky, 31, was found inside an apartment suite.

Police said the death was not considered suspicious at the time. An autopsy was done later that day, but police have not revealed how Hosky died “to protect the ongoing investigation.”

Homicide detectives later determined he had been killed at the hands of someone else, and are looking to speak to anyone who may have information about the death.
